Quarterback and running back were by far the worst positions on the Los Angeles Rams last year, but I forgave two top-five talents in Jared Goff and Todd Gurley and looked instead at if the team could acquire real wide receiver and offensive line talent. They did the former, by bringing in Cooper Kupp from Eastern Washington and Texas A&M’s Josh Reynolds (in the third and fourth rounds, respectively). Gerald Everett will slide into the tight end group and replace Lance Kendricks, and safety John Johnson will replace T.J. McDonald.

The Rams invested a bit more in the front-seven than I thought they would, getting pass-rushers Samson Ebukam and Ejuan Price for the outside linebacker spots and Tanzel Smart to play a more true 3-technique tackle than Aaron Donald would in a three-man front. This was a weak offensive line class, so I’m not surprised they avoided the position, and the Rams were able to hang onto Trumaine Johnson, so cornerback wasn’t a need.
