I don’t love the value of move tight end Evan Engram in the first round, but the New York Giants wanted to get another strong underneath receiving weapon and they nailed the tight end need. Second-rounder Dalvin Tomlinson is a direct response to losing Johnathan Hankins to free agency, and he should do the same kinds of things on the defensive interior. Quarterback Davis Webb fell to the third round of the draft after receiving Round 1 hype, but his value here allows the Giants to stash and develop him as the potential successor to Eli Manning. Wayne Gallman is the competent power runner the G-Men have needed since the Andre Williams selection, but he’s actually competent (unlike Williams). Offensive tackle Adam Bisnowaty has some injury concerns, but his value in the sixth round makes him an incredible pick for a team that desperately needs to solve their blindside issues.

The only other pick then is fifth-round defensive end Avery Moss, who is intriguing as a pass-rusher and not a reach, but he just didn’t seem to be a huge necessity in the lead-up to the draft.
