​Cethan Carter, Tight End

The big tight end was once a highly-recruited player out of Louisiana, even courted by home-state LSU, but he chose Nebraska, where he could get on the field immediately. He started 35 games for the Cornhuskers, turning in 744 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns on 59 catches. While this production is underwhelming (as is the clogged landing spot with the Cincinnati Bengals), Carter is still an intriguing long-term prospect.

The 4.68 40-yard dash and 4.73 three-cone he turned in at his Combine and pro day left us wanting. Still, on tape Carter has enough burst off the line and movement skills in space and on his routes to tantalize. He’ll have to start his NFL career as a special teams contributor, but in time he could be a two-tight end option as a receiver. According to MockDraftable, athletically speaking, Carter looks surprisingly like Garrett Graham, not a bad comp at all.
