Corey Clement, Running Back

Sadly, the Corey Clement experiment with the Philadelphia Eagles may be over before it starts. Clement was already going to have to beat out incumbent early-down back Ryan Mathews for big-time carries, but the Iggles signed LeGarrette Blount last week, all but guaranteeing that CC is going to have to hit the practice squad or find a different team. That said, he can have an impact somewhere.

The 5’10”, 220-pound Clement made the most of his (and his Wisconsin offensive linemen’s) burly size in college, turning in 1,375 rushing yards and 15 scores on 314 carries as the full-time starter in his senior year. His jump cut is his calling card, and his one-cut approach can be successful, but he’s not a receiver and sometimes need to plunge downhill more. He's been compared to Alex Collins, so given the opportunity, he could be useful.
