Fantasy Football: One Breakout Candidate From Every NFL Team

Donte Moncrief, WR, Indianapolis Colts

All together now -- this is the year Donte Moncrief breaks out.

Entering his fourth season, Moncrief is making a habit out of failing to deliver on his status as a popular breakout candidate. In 2015, he simply didn't put up good numbers, and last year, he missed six games to due injury.

The stars may finally align in 2017.

A phenomenal athlete, opportunity isn't an issue for Moncrief. He's the Indianapolis Colts' number-two wideout when he's healthy, and he has averaged 6.44 targets per game over the past two seasons.

A receiver with that kind of athleticism and a solid role in a fantasy-friendly offense is very appealing. Problem is, Moncrief hasn't been very productive.

He's averaged 3.8 catches and 61.7 yards per game since the start of 2015, and he racked up a measly 64 grabs for 733 yards in his career-best season. Also, Moncrief is likely due for some negative touchdown regression after scoring 7 times on 30 catches in 2016.

So why should we be into him, again?

He's priced reasonably, coming off the board as WR33, and we still haven't gotten to see a full season of Moncrief and Andrew Luck together (Luck played only seven games in Moncrief's disappointing 2015 campaign).

This could be the year for Moncrief, and if it's not, he probably won't be a chic breakout pick any longer.
