Lamar Miller, RB, Houston Texans

People are drafting Lamar Miller in the late-second to early-third rounds of fantasy drafts this year, an ADP he'll likely fail to live up to. While this seems like a more appropriate investment for Miller compared to his first-round ADP last year, our metrics indicate there are plenty of reasons to worry about him disappointing again.

Among running backs with 200 or more carries in 2016, Miller had the second-worst Rushing NEP per attempt, as well as the second-worst Rushing Success Rate in the NFL. Miller was among the worst in the league at adding value to his team's drives, and among the worst in the league at keeping drives alive by creating first downs or converting touchdowns.

His current ADP doesn't seem to take into account the fact that head coach Bill O’Brien all but promised to give Miller fewer carries than last year. The Houston Texans drafted D'Onta Foreman in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft to help take some of the load off Miller (like we saw with Alfred Blue at the end of 2016), and Foreman could end up stealing the starting job if Miller continues his inefficient production. —Aidan McGrath
