Fantasy Football: One Deep Sleeper Candidate From Every NFL Team

The hype-train on New York Jets tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins has been full steam ahead this summer, with reports that he has been "dominating" throughout training camp. Of course, talent has never really been a question for the former second round pick, who is a massive target at 6'5" with soft hands and outstanding leaping ability.

However, off-field issues derailed his career in Tampa Bay, who released the promising young player last year following a DUI arrest. By all accounts Seferian-Jenkins has received the help needed off the field to fulfill his immense promise on the field, dropping his weight significantly and dedicating himself fully to his craft.

The two biggest factors that could limit his breakout potential: injuries and the face he plays for the overtly tanking Jets.

The Jets are poised to be one of the worst offensive units in recent history, with inexperience and talent deficiencies everywhere. His quarterback could end up being Christian Hackenberg, a 2016 second-round pick who is still reportedly having trouble breaking the huddle correctly.

In addition, ASJ has played in just 25 games through his three-year career, never more than 9 in a season. His injury issues date back to his college career, including a foot fracture that prevented him from working out during the predraft process.

Still, there is much to like in Seferian-Jenkins, especially for a player who can be acquired for almost nothing -- if that much. What we don't know as of yet is if new offensive coordinator John Morton will actually target his tight ends, something the Jets haven't done much at all since Dustin Keller in 2011. But considering the best weapon they likely have in the passing game is 180-pound Robby Anderson, one would think they could potentially find room for a massive target.

Seferian-Jenkins is worth a roster spot in deep dynasty leagues, and he should be monitored in all formats.
