Chester Rogers, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Perhaps nothing has become more apparent this summer than the fact that without Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts' passing attack -- and entire team, for that matter -- is really going to struggle. Regardless of how much talent exists at the receiver position, if your starting quarterback is Scott Tolzien or Stephen Morris, your expectations should be that of a bottom-five unit.

If Luck can return to health, however, watch out for a breakout season from Chester Rogers, who was really making a name for himself during camp before being sidelined by a hamstring injury on August 16th. The second-year receiver was effective when he got on the field in 2016, posting 19 receptions for 273 yards in limited action. In Luck's most productive season (2014), three wideouts received at least 90 targets in T.Y. Hilton (131), Reggie Wayne (116) and Coby Fleener (92). As of now, only Hilton projects to a comparable role for 2017, with Jack Doyle and Donte Moncrief competing for the other two spots. Should one of them stumble, we could see Rogers emerge as a weapon.

It sure looks like the team prefers his precision and consistency to the crazy inconsistency of former first-round-pick Phillip Dorsett, who is reportedly on the trade block.

Rogers isn't the type of prospect who will emerge as the next Antonio Brown or Randall Cobb, but in a Luck-led offense, he could be something along the lines of a Willie Snead or Deion Branch. And if Moncrief plateaus in his development, perhaps he is capable of being more. The Colts certainly seem smitten by his ability, and that's enough to put him on the dynasty radar.
