Danny Woodhead, RB, Baltimore Ravens

Another casualty of the injury bug this weekend was Danny Woodhead, who was ready to resume his primary role as pass-catcher extraordinaire in his new setting with the Baltimore Ravens. However, for the second season in a row, Woodhead suffered a significant early-season injury.

While it's not yet known whether Woodhead's hamstring injury is a season-ending one, the general consensus is that Woodhead, who was carted off the field, will miss a significant amount of time. So, unless you're sitting pretty at running back -- or if you're fortunate enough to have an injured reserve spot and Woodhead becomes eligible for that -- it's probably time to let Woodhead go in favor of someone who can produce immediately.

Woodhead did factor prominently in the Ravens' passing game on the first drive, securing 3 catches on 3 targets for 33 yards. So keep an eye on the status of his return to the field and try to get him back before the rest of your league knows he's gearing up to return.

If you need production now and can't afford any dead weight on your roster, letting go of Woodhead is smarter than holding onto him in hopes of deploying him for a playoff run.
