Wide Receiver

Chalk:

If paying up at receiver, it is likely going to be for either Julio Jones or Mike Evans. Just below them, we find Brandin Cooks and Amari Cooper, who both should be popular high-upside mid-range options.

Larry Fitzgerald, Stefon Diggs, and Adam Thielen all also profile to be chalky options, as they are in good spots and appear to be underpriced.

Pivots:

Keenan Allen, $7,100 (vs. Miami Dolphins): While Keenan Allen saw 10 targets last week, they weren't very efficient ones against an elite Denver pass defense. He caught just 5 of them for 35 yards, but did find the end zone. He should probably end up being a popular option this week in a much easier matchup, but with all three of Fitzgerald, Diggs, and Thielen cheaper, Allen will likely fly somewhat under the radar.

In the last eight games in which Allen has played the entire game healthy, he has been targeted by Rivers 11.8 times on average and has three games with 15-plus targets. He should get peppered with targets once again this week and is a strong play against a weak Dolphins secondary.

Chris Hogan, $6,200 (at New Orleans): Chris Hogan was a trendy pick last Thursday and dropped a dud against the Kansas City Chiefs. With Danny Amendola, who saw 10 targets last week, highly unlikely to play this week, Hogan should be popular. However, with him being sandwiched in between Diggs and Thielen from a price perspective, he might end up going underowned.

Speaking of Thielen, he torched this New Orleans secondary last week for 9 catches and 157 yards. Hogan plays a nearly identical role to Thielen for New England and should bounce back in a big way this week. The volatile nature of his production makes him tough to trust in cash games, but he has explosive upside in this projected shootout.
