Orleans Darkwa, RB, New York Giants

The New York Giants' offense has been a nightmare through two weeks, scoring just 13 total points. While there are many reasons for the failure, the running game, or lack thereof, is front and center. Big Blue's running backs have totaled a league-low 97 yards on 30 rushes in 2017, with starting back Paul Perkins putting up some of the worst advanced stats in the NFL. His -0.33 Rushing Net Expected Points (NEP) per rush ranks him 51st among the 54 backs with at least 10 carries this season.

With an offensive shakeup coming, the Giants are rumored to be considering giving Orleans Darkwa a more prominent role in the backfield this week as he has been their best rusher so far. He has run for 37 yards on 6 carries (5.2 yards per carry) while posting an impressive 0.06 Rushing NEP per rush (19th of the 74 backs with at least 5 carries this season).

Week 3 would be a good week to have more touches for Darkwa, as the Giants should be able to find room to run as they face the Philadelphia Eagles, who allow the 6th-most yards per carry (4.9) in the NFL.
