Wendell Smallwood saw limited snaps in the first two weeks of the season, as Darren Sproles dominated the playing time for the Philadelphia Eagles. That all changed in Week 3, as Sproles broke his arm, and Smallwood paced the team's backs in snaps.

He carried the ball 12 times for 71 yards on the day, and he should have every opportunity for continued production in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Los Angeles allowed C.J. Anderson and Jamaal Charles to combine for 121 rushing yards against them in Week 1, followed by a 122-yard rushing day from Jay Ajayi in Week 2. Week 3 took the cake, though, as Kareem Hunt ran for 172 yards and a score against the Bolts.

Maybe Week 4 will be the week Los Angeles doesn't allow 100-plus yards rushing, but you can bet that Philly will attack what has been the clear weakness for this defense thus far. Smallwood looks like he will see the first crack at those carries, and he is a legitimate option in Week 4 if you're hurting at running back.
