J.D. McKissic, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Just when we think the Seattle Seahawks running back situation is starting to gain some clarity, something else happens.

Thanks to a monster second-half outburst, the 'Hawks routed the Indianapolis Colts 46-18. That positive game script would make most Chris Carson truthers pretty happy, but because of a "significant" ankle injury, that didn't happen.

A running back did step up, which was J.D. McKissic. The youngster out of Arkansas State ran the ball only four times, but gashed the Colts for 38 yards and a score, while also catching a 27-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson late in the game to put this contest further out of reach.

And we can't blame that this was in garbage time, either -- McKissic's 30-yard scoring scamper broke a tie game in the third quarter.

Eddie Lacy received 11 carries and Carson one-upped him with 12 of his own, but McKissic was easily the most effective weapon. This just means that Seattle's backfield situation may not be totally clear just yet.
