5 NFL Stats to Know Through Week 4
Just like that, we're a quarter of the way through the 2017 NFL season.
We got some bonus football last week, as two games went to overtime. The first one ended with the New York Jets picking up their second consecutive win, a 23-20 nail-biter over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Who would have guessed before the year that the Jets would have the same record (2-2) as the New England Patriots four games into the season?
Then the combined 71-year-old duo of Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald connected with a game-winning touchdown to cap off the Arizona Cardinals' comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers.
As if that wasn't enough, we were oh-so-close to yet another overtime finish before Harrison Butker's 43-yard field goal put the Kansas City Chiefs 3 points ahead of the Washington Redskins with just four seconds remaining in the game. Then Justin Houston quashed the Redskins' comeback hopes by returning a fumble for a touchdown of his own on the following possession. Great stuff.
Before we move to Week 5, here are five stats to know -- some traditional, some our advanced statistics -- through the first four weeks of gridiron action.
