5 Daily Fantasy Football Matchups to Exploit in Week 5
Sometimes in DFS, it's good to be balanced. You want to spread your salary cap evenly so that you are not risking a zero at any given spot, an ill that could tank an otherwise-sexy lineup.
This is not one of those weeks. We gon' get these studs, y'all.
Across the board, there are high-cost players with juicy matchups just waiting to be plugged into our lineups. Sure, it means we're going to have to scrape along other places, but that shouldn't be an overly difficult task.
If we gain clarity on the Seattle Seahawks' backfield situation, you could take advantage of their pricing. Jaron Brown has double-digit targets two of the past three weeks and is minimum price on FanDuel. And even one of the juiciest matchups on the board belongs to a team that is brimming with value plays (more on them later on). You're going to be able to pay up where you want.
The question then becomes which studs are most worthy of our investment. We can help answer that question by looking at numberFire's Net Expected Points (NEP), the metric we use to track the efficiency of both teams and players with the team totals being adjusted for strength of opponent. NEP tracks the expected points added or subtracted on a given play, showing us the immense difference between a three-yard completion on 3rd and 2 compared to that some completion on 3rd and 4.
So, which studs do we need to cram into our lineups this week to exploit favorable matchups? Let's check it out.
