Washington Redskins vs. San Francisco 49ers

Over/Under: 46.5

Redskins Implied Team Total: 28.25

49ers Implied Team Total: 18.25

The Washington Redskins come in with an implied team total just above the Saints, boasting the league's 3rd-highest implied team total in Week 6. Washington is coming off a bye week for a home matchup against an 0-5 San Francisco 49ers team, in a spot where a full-on 'Skins stack is certainly in play.

Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington Redskins

FanDuel Price: $7,800

Kirk Cousins followed a 26.8 FanDuel point performance in Week 3 with another 20-plus point outing in Week 4 that would have looked even stronger if not for a dropped Josh Doctson touchdown in the fourth quarter. He appears ready to put his slow start behind him and post his third consecutive solid outing in Week 6, as Washington faces a 49ers defense that has allowed Jacoby Brissett, Carson Palmer, and Jared Goff to average 321 passing yards against them over the past three games.

This will be the first game Cousins has played in as a double-digit favorite, but it would not be the first time he has won by 10-plus points. His numbers speak for themselves in nine of such victories since 2015.

That increased touchdown equity is exactly what we're hoping for from Cousins in this one, because as the graphic above displays, his volume will likely be down if this turns into a Washington rout. In the nine games in which he averaged nearly 3 touchdowns, he also threw just 29 passes on average, showing that he clearly has the ability to put up huge numbers in games with large spreads.

George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers

FanDuel Price: $5,300

On the other side of the ball is George Kittle, who is one of the most intriguing tight end plays on the slate. If you're unfamaliar with the fifth-round rookie, his workout metrics are off the charts. He recorded a 4.52 40-yard dash, an 88th percentile SPARQ score and 100th percentile agility score, all of which were on display last week, when he caught 7 of 9 targets for 83 yards and a score. (To be fair, that performance came in an overtime back-and-forth affair against a weak Indianapolis Colts defense.)

However, Indy has actually been better against tight ends this season than the Redskins. Washington ranks 30th in FanDuel points allowed per game to tight ends this season. They are one of many teams with strong cornerback play, which funnels targets towards the middle of the field. As a result, Kittle could be looking at heavy targets once again in Week 6.

Others to Consider

Rob Kelley has yet to put in a practice this week, but is expected to play come Sunday. If he were forced to sit, Samaje Perine ($4,900) would be in play as a punt play against a Niner defense that has been gashed on the ground. The most likely scenario appears to be that Kelley plays though, which would take all Washington backs out of consideration. As far as the pass-catching options go, Terrelle Pryor ($6,800) appears to be the best pairing option with Cousins. He has yet to resemble anything near the lofty expectations that were set for him coming into the season, but did show off his big-play ability in Washington's last game, catching a 44-yard touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs. Even for his lack of numbers, Pryor leads the team in snaps and targets pretty easily. He is an intriguing buy-low tournament play in what should be a high-scoring game against a weak 49ers defense.

If bringing it back with any San Fran player other than Kittle, your best bet is probably a tournament dart throw on Matt Breida ($5,300). Some may buy into Pierre Garcon ($6,800) as a revenge-game narrative, but Washington has absolutely stifled opposing wide outs this season. Why not instead take the savings on Breida, who led the backfield in snaps and touches last week? Breida is another athletic specimen, boasting a 4.44 40-time and an 88th-percentile SPARQ score. Coach Kyle Shanahan said that Carlos Hyde would remain the starter, but that he would ride the "hot hand" after that. Breida appears to be the preferred pass catching back of the two, so he could be looking at plenty of snaps while trailing here.
