Kevin Hogan Still Has a High Floor
If this matchup between the Browns and Texans becomes a shootout, it only makes sense to be aware of the road offense, too.
Kevin Hogan replaced DeShone Kizer late in the fourth quarter in Week 4 and at halftime against the New York Jets last Sunday. He threw for 259 yards on 27 attempts (9.59 yards per attempt) during those relief stints, targeting Ricardo Louis on 9 of said 27 throws (a 33.3% target share). Louis averaged a pitiful 12.1% target share with Kizer under center.
It should also be noted that Hogan is no slouch in terms of athleticism. The second-year pro averaged 6.17 rushing attempts over 51 collegiate starts and ran a 4.78 40-yard dash (70th percentile among quarterbacks) at the NFL Combine. He's rushed for a total of 134 yards in the only two games he's attempted at least 12 passes.
The fact that Hogan's potentially found a complementary receiver in Louis bodes well for both of them since Houston is the 15th-ranked defense in Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP per play. It could also be a breakout day for Duke Johnson, who's produced when Cleveland has trailed by a touchdown.
Duke Johnson has 64.5 fantasy points when trailing by 7+ points this year, 14 more than anyone else. Browns are 9.5 point 'dogs this week.

Without J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus manning Houston's defensive line, Hogan doesn't even need to see garbage time before potentially padding his stats.
