Deonte Thompson, WR, Buffalo Bills

Yahoo! Ownership: 7%

The Buffalo Bills have been hurting for wide receivers this season. Their leading pass catcher has been tight end Charles Clay, and he is out for a few weeks with a knee injury. Wideouts Jordan Matthews and Zay Jones have been disappointments, totaling just 20 catches for 253 yards between the two of them. Enter Deonte Thompson.

In his first week with the Bills after being released by the Chicago Bears, Thompson posted the best game any Bills pass catcher has had all season with 107 yards. He caught all four of his targets, providing Tyrod Taylor with a legit deep threat as he hauled in three passes of at least 23 yards. With the Oakland Raiders on tap in Week 8, Thompson will get a chance to replicate his impressive debut.

The Raiders have been prone to the big play, allowing 8.2 yards per attempt, the third-highest mark in the NFL. They gave up a pair of touchdowns greater than 60 yards to the Kansas City Chiefs just last week. Overall, opponents average 247 passing yards per game, putting Oakland in the bottom 10 of the league.
