10 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Targets Heading Into Week 10

The never ending Ezekiel Elliott saga threw us another curveball late last week, with Elliott once again being allowed to play. It's been maddening for fantasy owners, although we may finally have some closure this week. We'll believe it when we see it.

But if Elliott does indeed have to start serving his suspension, then Alfred Morris becomes the guy most likely to carry the load for the Dallas Cowboys. If he's available, then he's your first choice from this backfield (again), but chances are he's already being stashed in your league. However, just because he's the first man up doesn't guarantee he'll hold the lead job, so the dark horse candidate could very well be Rod Smith, who would back up Morris.

Morris isn't much of a pass-catcher, and Darren McFadden has been a healthy scratch all season, so it wouldn't be inconceivable to see Smith emerge from the rubble as the most fantasy-relevant back in a post-Elliott scenario. He performed well in the preseason, and has made the most of his limited opportunities this season, rushing for 69 yards on 10 carries, while adding 23 yards on 2 receptions.
