The New York Giants (Still) Can't Defend Tight Ends

Carlos Hyde likely wouldn't be the only beneficiary, however, if this game exceeds all others in total offense. And if that is the case, it only makes sense for a tight end to produce against the New York Giants -- in particular Garrett Celek, who played 55-of-75 (74.32%) offensive snaps and is slated to start in place of the injured George Kittle.

Nine different tight ends have scored a touchdown against the Giants in only eight games played this season. Those nine tight ends averaged an individual line of 5.7 targets, 3.8 receptions, 47.1 yards, and (obviously) one score each.

The Giants recently surrendered 311 passing yards and 4 touchdowns through the air (without Janoris Jenkins, mind you) to Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams. Jenkins (PFF's 27th-ranked cornerback among 115 qualifiers) is expected to play in Week 10, though, and quite frankly, it doesn't matter. New York has still allowed the most fantasy points per game (19.8) to opposing tight ends and ranks 23rd-overall according to Adjusted Defensive Passing NEP on the season.

Celek can easily be added via waivers or rostered at the stone minimum ($4,500) at his position on FanDuel -- tremendous value for a player whose ceiling involves (at least) one score.
