The Atlanta Falcons will visit the Seattle Seahawks in an important NFC showdown on Monday Night Football with a lot to play for. The Falcons are fresh off a season-defining win over the Dallas Cowboys and are jockeying for position in a competitive NFC South, while the Seahawks are seeking their sixth win in seven games.

With a three-point spread, this figures to be a closely-contested matchup that should pay dividends in daily formats.

Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks

There are several quarterbacks on hot streaks in the NFL, but Russell Wilson may be the most locked in of all. The man they call "DangeRuss" has accumulated 1,321 passing yards, 11 touchdown passes, and 136 rushing yards over his last four starts. A legitimate MVP candidate, Wilson has carried an injury-riddled Seahawks team to a 6-3 record.

While Atlanta has been surprisingly effective against the pass in 2017, Wilson's recent stretch of play makes him a borderline must-start option. In fact, our metrics project him to be the highest-scoring quarterback on the slate with 23.1 FanDuel points for just QB4 cost.

Julio Jones, WR, Atlanta Falcons

FanDuel Price: $7,700

It's been a frustrating season for Julio Jones. While his average of 79.4 receiving yards per game is fourth-best in the NFL, it's considerably lower than his career average of 94.6. Furthermore, the four-time Pro Bowler has only scored once in nine contests, and his dropped 39-yard would be touchdown from Week 9 is likely still fresh in the minds of fantasy players everywhere. So why am I telling you to start him against one of the historically great pass defenses in NFL history?

While the notion of starting an opposing wide receiver against the Seahawks' defense was once worthy of ridicule, times have changed. Unfortunately, All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman suffered a season-ending Achilles' tear in Week 10. Stud safeties Earl Thomas (hamstring) and Kam Chancellor (stinger) are both questionable, but even if they're on the field Monday night, both men could be limited.

Jones is projected to be the second-highest scoring wideout on the slate with 15.0 FanDuel points, but is priced as the WR6. It's tremendous value for arguably the league's most talented receiver in a suddenly favorable matchup.

Others to Consider

Matt Ryan ($7,400) isn't producing video game numbers this year but remains a very good quarterback, and after posting only one multi-touchdown performance over his first six games, he has quietly accomplished this feat in three straight contests. Expecting 2016-level Ryan is probably a bad idea at this point, but he also benefits from the Seahawks' injuries in the secondary. At QB16 cost, he offers considerable (potential) value.

With Devonta Freeman sidelined due to a concussion, Tevin Coleman ($5,900) will once again lead the Falcons' backfield. While he can be started at a reasonable cost, the matchup is imposing, as the Seahawks have allowed only 17.5 FanDuel points per game (fifth-least) to opposing running backs. Worse still, Coleman makes a lot of his money as a pass-catcher, and the Seahawks have only permitted 36 catches (tied for second-fewest) to opposing runners.

Jimmy Graham ($6,900) has six touchdowns in his last five games and can be started for TE5 cost. However, the Falcons surrender the fifth-fewest points per game (7.9) to opposing tight ends. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object. This one could go either way.
