Kareem Hunt Will Bounce Back

Kareem Hunt fell short of expectations against the New York Giants Sunday, rushing for 73 yards on 18 carries (4.06 yards per attempt). The good news is that he played 50 of 75 (66.6%) offensive snaps for the Kansas City Chiefs and handled 78.2% of the team's backfield carries.

The only complaint against Hunt right now is that results comparable to his first three performances (when he averaged 29.2 fantasy points per game) just haven't been there. Even before his dud against the Giants, Hunt averaged only 9.44 fantasy points in the five games prior. The key, though, is that his volume hasn't gone anywhere.

Over the last five games, Hunt ranks fourth-overall among running backs in total market share (percentage of targets and carries on one's team). He also leads the Chiefs with eight red zone opportunities (targets and carries) in his last three contests.

Given this type of volume, Hunt is arguably in the best spot of any running back in Week 12. The Buffalo Bills are ranked dead last according to Adjusted Defensive Rushing NEP and have allowed a whopping 692 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns since trading Marcell Dareus in Week 8.
