Our own Jim Sannes wrote a very useful article on how kickers performed based on measures such as Vegas spreads, implied totals, and favorites versus underdogs. Based on his findings, we need to target kickers on heavily-favored teams, with implied team total as the tiebreaker.

This week, the Los Angeles Chargers are favored by six points. They also have the fourth-highest implied total of the weekend at 26.00 points. This is all good news for minimum-priced kicker Travis Coons.

According to Sannes, kickers on teams favored by 5.0-9.5 points scored an average of 8.74 points per game between 2012 and 2014. And when kickers are on teams with an implied total of 24.00-26.75 points, they scored an average of 8.77 fantasy points.

Coons is priced at $4,500, the minimum price for kickers on FanDuel this week. Coons will allow you to save money and still get the luxury of a kicker on a favored team.
