Danny Woodhead Isn't Going to Happen

Things looked so good for one quarter for Danny Woodhead way back in Week 1. Unfortunately, he re-injured his hamstring early in that game, and frankly hasn't had much of a job to come back to since returning from injured reserve.

Alex Collins has been one heck of a running back, making a compelling case for himself as the team's primary ball carrier. He's running like a man on fire, averaging 4.89 yards per carry on the season, and per PlayerProfiler.com, Collins headed into the week with the third-highest rate of runs going for 15 or more yards.

While Woodhead was injured, Javorius Allen handled most of the passing-down work, but Collins is even showing his ability to contribute there recently. He's averaging just over three targets per game in the last four weeks, and his 8.9 yards per reception in that time has actually been more efficient than Woodhead's 5.8 clip.

Collins drove the nail home in Sunday's loss to the Steelers, but even Allen stepped in for another two touchdowns and six carries. Woodhead is being forced out of the backfield and can safely be dropped in most leagues.
