4. Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions

107 Targets, 61 Receptions, 1,101 Yards, 9 Touchdowns

0.58 Target NEP per target

It can be a huge help to a wide receiver's numbers if they play on a pass-happy offense. Marvin Jones certainly had this going his way -- the Detroit Lions had a pass-to-run ratio of 1.7 in 2017, the league's second-highest mark. Despite this, Jones made the most of his targets, with very little chaff remaining.

It took until Week 5 for Jones to top 50 yards receiving, but he'd exceed this tally 10 times in his next 11 games, with three in excess of 100 yards and another five between 81 and 96. Against the Vikings, he managed to haul in 6 of 9 targets for 109 yards and 2 touchdowns against the uber-solid Xavier Rhodes. Jones never managed more than four catches in a game after this Thanksgiving clash, but did average more than 20.2 yards per reception in four of the season's final five games.

Matthew Stafford is the only quarterback for the players mentioned in this article who finished outside the top 10 in terms of Passing NEP per drop back (he was 11th). Jones was one of three Lions wide receivers to post Target NEP per target in excess of 0.43. The only player with a lower total was Golden Tate, who was the only player on the Lions to see more targets than Jones.
