Stefon Diggs ended the season as the pepper to Adam Thielen's salt in terms of the Minnesota Vikings' passing game, despite appearing to be the alpha dog in the season's opening weeks. He was on pace for an 88-catch, 1,564-yard season through his first four games. Given this start, his final tally of 64 grabs for 849 yards was something of a disappointment.

After an 8-catch, 173-yard outing in Week 3, Diggs would have just one game in which he was targeted at least 10 times. However, he did have at least 4 catches in eight games, with 22 coming in his last four. He also caught at least 71.4% of his targets in seven games, including 6-target, 6-catch game for 65 yards and a score against the Green Bay Packers in Week 17.

Vikings quarterback Case Keenum was one of the more pleasant surprises from the 2017 season, finishing eighth in Passing NEP per drop back and fourth in Success Rate (the percentage of passes that result in a positive NEP). While Diggs couldn't maintain an explosive start, he was still one of the more efficient wide receivers on a per-target basis throughout the league.
