Pittsburgh Steelers - Vance McDonald

Cap Savings: $4,318,750

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for Vance McDonald right before the season started, hoping to add another dynamic playmaker to an offense that seemed to have few options outside of Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell. Well Pittsburgh got their third stud, but it wasn't McDonald -- it was rookie wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

JuJu's emergence may make McDonald expendable. McDonald hasn't been the most reliable player, logging just 21 games played over the last two seasons.

In his limited time in 2017, he finished with 14 catches for 188 yards and a touchdown -- most notably coming up with a 10-catch, 112-yard day against the Jags in the postseason. But his lack of durability combined with the team's pretty ordinary cap situation makes him a candidate for release.
