Minnesota Vikings - Latavius Murray

Cap Savings: $5,150,000

Dead Money: $1,200,000

Playing in all 16 games of a season for the second time in his career, Latavius Murray managed his second-best year in terms of rushing yards (842) and rushing touchdowns (8). However, he was fortunate in the fact that rookie running back Dalvin Cook was injured so early in the season. In the four games that Murray played with Cook, he averaged less than four rushing attempts per outing. Without Cook, he got nearly 17 per game.

Murray has never been a darling when it comes to advanced stats, and 2017 was no exception. His Success Rate of 33.80% ranked 40th among the 47 backs with at least 100 carries.

With Cook set to return, the Minnesota Vikings would likely be better served saying goodbye to Murray and looking to replenish their passing-game back position with Jerick McKinnon headed to free agency.
