Fantasy Football: 10 Veterans Who Benefited From the NFL Draft

Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton had a frustrating season of highs and lows in 2017, finishing as the PPR WR27.

Young quarterback Jacoby Brissett did the best he could to bail water from the sinking ship that was the Colts' offense sans Andrew Luck. However, it was destined to be a lost season for Indy.

This year brings the hope of Luck's return, which would be a big boon for Hilton's fantasy value.

On top of that, the offseason dominoes fell Hilton's way, and he's is clearly the Colts' top option in the passing game.

The Colts did add some playmakers, but they didn't bring in any receivers of real significance in the draft or free agency. They selected Daurice Fountain in the fifth round and brought in Ryan Grant in free agency. At tight end, they signed Eric Ebron to pair with Jack Doyle. But they also let Donte Moncrief, the starter opposite Hilton, walk in free agency.

The additions of Grant and Ebron and the subtraction of Moncrief should be a net positive to Hilton's 2018 target share. But this whole thing hinges on the return of Luck. In games in which Luck plays, Hilton averages 15.14 PPR points per game, compared to 11.29 without him. Hilton was the PPR WR5 in 2016, and he was the WR22 and WR12 the two years before that. We know what he can do with Luck, so as long as the Colts' franchise quarterback is healthy, Hilton should be a fantasy stud in 2018.
