Best Value: WR Deon Cain, Indianapolis Colts
Another great pick by Redemann, who feels like he's made out like a bandit from the one-spot. With Chester Rogers the current favorite to supplant Donte Moncrief as the team's number-two receiver, Cain fell into one of the best landing spots on the board. Opportunity trumps all, and Cain should see the field more than several of the wideouts drafted ahead of him, at least initially. Known more for his straight-line speed rather than his overall athleticism, Cain was a victim of Clemson's spread-it-around offense (career high of only 734 receiving yards). But with Andrew Luck (hopefully) set to return in 2018, the Colts' passing attack has a chance to reclaim its explosiveness with Cain being a big part of it in due time.
My Pick: RB Jaylen Samuels, Pittsburgh Steelers
While some have made the case that Samuels could eventually help to replace Le'Veon Bell, the rookie from North Carolina State projects much more realistically as a hybrid, H-back type and receiving threat out of the backfield. Samuels was featured primarily as a tight end for the Wolfpack, parlaying 195 receptions into 45 all-purpose touchdowns over the last 3 seasons. Samuels only averaged 56 carries per season in that same timeframe, as NC State relied more heavily on fellow draft pick Nyheim Hines (Colts, 4th round). With Martavis Bryant shipped out of town and an underwhelming group of tight ends to compete with, it's not unfeasible to see a path to relevance for Samuels.
