It’s not surprising that a defensive unit that gave up a score on 31.5 percent of their drives last year (ninth-most in the league) is going undrafted, but this recency bias is really going to keep people away from an Arizona D/ST with high potential.

Moving to a 4-3 base will allow the team to hide some of its personnel deficiencies in the linebacker group and interior defensive linemen, and make for more natural rotations among them. Signing Jamar Taylor -- Pro Football Focus’s 71st overall cornerback last year -- can only help as Arizona searches for a good cornerback to bookend star Patrick Peterson.

In addition, though they were not a good NFL defense last year, the Cardinals were decent enough, ranking 16th in fantasy scoring overall. They were tied for the 12th-highest startable rate in the league last year, with the big issue being their 12th-highest bust rate (unstartable) among defenses. If they can become slightly more consistent, Arizona will be a big value among fantasy defenses this year.
