Fantasy Football: 5 Players You Can Drop After Week 1
Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Starting off your rookie season as a game-day inactive -- after getting drafted in the second round -- behind two undrafted free agents and a scatback is not a good sign. Unfortunately for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Ronald Jones, that’s how 2018 has kicked off.
Jones is an explosive asset and could someday be a valuable member of the backfield rotation. Today does not seem to be that day.
Jones’ preseason marks were ugly, to say the least. He picked up more carries (28) than he did rushing yards on those carries (22), and he dropped two of his three targets in the receiving game. Even before the season began, the Buccaneers listed him third on the depth chart behind clear starter Peyton Barber (who posted 69 yards on 19 carries in Week 1) and change-of-pace option Jacquizz Rodgers.
Now it appears that the Buccaneers even prefer undrafted rookie Shaun Wilson to Jones on gameday, for Wilson's special teams skills if nothing else. Jones has a long way to go before he’s fantasy usable. He’s safe to drop while he gets acclimated to the league.
