Austin Ekeler, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

Yahoo Ownership: 44%

While Melvin Gordon's (predictable) top-five running back numbers are the most exciting part of the Los Angeles Chargers' offense so far, Austin Ekeler has actually been playing quite a significant role.

Through two games, Ekeler has seen 16 carries and 8 targets. Those 24 opportunities certainly aren't workhorse numbers, but they're still good for 32nd among running backs to start the year.

He has also been incredibly efficient, turning in 116 yards on the ground and 108 through the air. While regression will hit and those ridiculous per-touch averages will come down, it's certainly an encouraging sign that he is capable of doing so much damage with the ball in his hands.

The team has shown a willingness to play both Gordon and Ekeler at the same time (their snap shares combine for over 100%), and with Ekeler doing so much damage on his touches, there's no reason for the Chargers to lay off getting him the ball.
