3 Fantasy Football Defensive Streaming Options for Week 5

The Carolina Panthers take on the New York Giants this week. What other defenses sitting on the waiver wire can you pick up and plug into your Week 5 lineups?

For the second time this season, our top streaming option finished as the best fantasy defense on the week. The Green Bay Packers shut out the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, piling up 7 sacks and 3 turnovers en route to the best fantasy score on the week. Our other streaming options posted middling results. The Indianapolis Colts were a solid, finishing as the seventh-highest scoring team, while the Seattle Seahawks were a disappointment, finishing outside the top-15.

With the Packers big performance, our top streaming pick through 4 weeks is now averaging 12.5 fantasy points per game, which would rank as the second-best fantasy defense.

Heading into Week 5, we're targeting two home favorites, and as usual, the team facing the Buffalo Bills.

For those that are new, every week in this column we search the waiver wire to identify low-owned teams set up with a great matchup. The focus will be on teams owned in about 50% or fewer of Yahoo fantasy leagues. Our goal is to identify teams poised to be a top-12 scorer (start-able in standard leagues) for that given week.
