DeVante Parker, WR, Miami Dolphins

Highly-drafted receivers sadly don’t always pan out. Such has been the case of the Miami DolphinsDeVante Parker, who was a first-round draft pick in 2015, has barely been healthy in his time in the league, and has averaged just 5.4 targets per game over his career.

His 2018 season, therefore, seems almost like a “greatest hits” compilation of Parker’s career: he currently has played in just one game out of four, has just three targets, and has no touchdowns.

With Parker highly questionable yet again heading into Week 5 (and his role in the Dolphins’ offense labeled similarly), there is no end in sight to Parker’s injury saga this season. He has dealt with finger injuries coming into the year and now has a pulled quadriceps muscle. If your league doesn’t allow you to designate “out” players to injured reserve, Parker’s maddening “will he or won’t he” is worth dropping for your peace of mind and some real upside on the waiver wire.
