Vance McDonald, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers

Price: $4,600

While tight end is a bit of a wasteland in season-long fantasy this year, we don't have to worry about that in DFS.

Vance McDonald isn't a guy you can grab off the waiver wire in most leagues anymore, but he's still nice and cheap on FanDuel, with 15 tight ends priced above him on the main slate alone.

McDonald has seen his role expand with each game this year. He made his 2018 debut in Week 2, playing 45% of the offensive snaps for Pittsburgh. That expanded to 48% in Week 3 and 62% in Week 4, when he out-snapped Jesse James (44%) for the first time.

McDonald has seen at least five targets in each of those three games, while James saw five in Week 2 but only one each in of Weeks 3 and 4, leaving McDonald as the clear number-one tight end in Pittsburgh.

The Steelers' offense is in a dreamy spot this week, with a slate-high 30.25-point implied total against the Atlanta Falcons, who numberFire's models have ranked 26th against the pass.

McDonald's target numbers do mean that his floor remains low in any given week, but the upside of getting a piece of the Steelers' highly-projected offense at this price is easy to like, especially at the tight end position, where only the best players tend to offer any sort of a floor.
