7 Deep Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 5
Mike Davis, RB, Seattle Seahawks

When Chris Carson was made a surprise inactive last week for Seattle, Mike Davis and not first-round pick Rashaad Penny got the start and the bulk of the workload at running back in Week 4. With Carson missing practice on Wednesday and another question mark to play this week, Davis is worth a play, due to potential volume in Week 5.
Against the Arizona Cardinals, Davis racked up 25 touches (21 rushes, 4 catches) for over 125 total yards. Even with Penny getting some work, it was nowhere near a timeshare with Penny seeing less than a quarter of the offensive snaps. Davis was on the field for 71.2% of snaps. While it is hard to trust what the 'Hawks will do in their backfield this weekend against the Los Angeles Rams, Davis would seem to be at worst the number two back to a banged up Carson and seems to have earned a significant role in the backfield after his Week 4 performance.
While the Rams may be one of the better run defenses (7th-fewest rushing yards allowed), that has more to do with opportunities than a solid front. Los Angeles ranks in the bottom-10 of the NFL in yards per carry given up (4.6) while facing the lowest number of rushes per game (18.8). Opposing backs have been productive as receivers as well, averaging 7.3 catches per game this season.
