Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets

Yahoo Ownership: 34%

I would say that Robby Anderson owners let out a collective "finally!" after his performance in Week 5, but that would presume that Anderson was even started by people this week.

Last year's WR15 in standard leagues had done little until Sunday to inspire confidence in fantasy owners, which numbered just 34% on Yahoo heading into Week 5. Through four games, Anderson had a collective 108 yards and 1 touchdown. He had nearly that much yardage (103) on Sunday and tripled his scoring output by the time the Jets closed out their win.

More importantly, Anderson was tied for the team lead in targets with five, after being no better than third on the team in any of the Jets' previous games this season. Whether it was the matchup or a newfound connection with Sam Darnold, we should take it as a positive sign and hope that Anderson uses this game as a springboard

The Jets get a plus matchup against a Colts defense that has allowed four wide receivers to find the end zone over the past two weeks. The total is set at a respectable 45.5, so we should be looking at a reasonable amount of scoring and not two defenses exchanging blows.

The Colts were without their top two cornerbacks last week and lost their third during the game. If one or more of them are out again, Darnold should be feeling free to take shots down the field.

Anderson showed what he can do in 2017, and as Darnold becomes more comfortable under center, Anderson could see increased involvement. Week 5 may have been the start of that trend. Anderson deserves a spot on your roster.
