Receiving Market Shares

1. Chris Godwin Has a Solid Role

Chris Godwin's four touchdowns have him ahead of teammate Mike Evans (three) and DeSean Jackson (three) in the scoring department.

Godwin and Jackson have seen virtually the same amount of targets and generated the same production, with both netting 31 targets and 21 receptions a piece. Evans has a 23.3% target share, while D-Jax and Godwin are both at 16.4%.

Evans and Jackson are big-play weapons, but Godwin is becoming the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' possession guy. Evans is seeing 31.65% of the Bucs' air yards, and Jackson at 27.92%.

While Godwin sits a distant third in air yards at 17.63%, he's got three games with at least six targets, including 9- and 10-target outings, and with the state of Tampa's defense (it's bad), the Bucs should have to go to the air often this year, giving Godwin flex appeal as we grind through bye weeks.

2. Robert Woods Is the Rams' Top Wideout

Robert Woods has been the steady force in the Los Angeles Rams' offense this season, but an injury to Cooper Kupp gives his fantasy stock a nice lift.

Woods’ 36 receptions on 51 targets puts him ahead of Kupp (30 catches on 42 targets) and Brandin Cooks (28 grabs on 39 targets). His 35.49% share of the Rams’ air yards ranks him ahead of Kupp (23.18) and Cooks (29.28), as well.

In short, Woods is the Rams' wideout to own, and with Kupp -- who has five touchdowns -- on the shelf for at least Week 7, Woods could be an even bigger factor in the red zone moving forward. Our projections have him as the WR12 for the rest of the season.
