3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 7
Indianapolis Colts
FanDuel Price: $4,100
numberFire Projection: 8.9 FanDuel points
The Indianapolis Colts' defense ranks 30th in the NFL allowing 30.0 points per game. They just gave up 42 points to Sam Darnold and the Jets. So why are they finding their way onto this list? They are playing every fantasy defense's favorite target, the Bills.
The Bills rank last or next-to-last in the most vital of offensive categories including yards (222.5), first downs (14.0), and points per game (12.7). The offensive line has allowed the third-most sacks (24) while Josh Allen and Nathan Peterman have thrown the most interceptions (9) in the league. The situation is so dire they are starting veteran Derek Anderson at quarterback this week. Yes, the same Anderson who the Bills signed just last week and has attempted nine passes in the previous two years.
The Colts' defense is not elite by any means, but they do excel at getting to the quarterback -- tied for third with 19 sacks -- and rank in the top-10 with 10 turnovers this season. As expected, the Bills carry the lowest implied point total of the week (17.75) while the Colts are our highest projected fantasy scoring defense this week.
