Kerryon Johnson has another 100 yard rushing game

There is a possibility that the Detroit Lions have found themselves a good running back.

Rookie Kerryon Johnson saw a career-high 19 rushing attempts against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, and he finished with 158 yards, including a 71-yard run. This marked the second 100-yard game of the season for Johnson, and it takes him to 444 yards on the ground so far. It is an unfair comparison to make, but it's fun to note that after his first six games as a rookie, Barry Sanders had 413 rushing yards and just one 100-yard game.

The 71-yard play was the longest run by a Lions running back since 2011, and it helped Johnson become the first Lions running back with at least 100 rushing yards in a first half of a game since Reggie Bush in 2013.

Frustratingly for fantasy owners, the Lions continue to shuffle the work between Johnson, LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick, the latter of whom was sidelined in Week 7.

The Lions face a tough schedule in their upcoming games, at least as far as running backs go. This, married to the Lions refusal to hand Johnson the bulk of the carries, does put something of a cap on his appeal, assuming Riddick returns roon. As such, Johnson is marked as a good sell-high candidate by our JJ Zachariason in this week's 15 Transactions piece.
