Travis Kelce Scored 38.8 Fantasy Points

It seems that we go into every season hoping that the tight end position will finally become something approaching a spot that we can cherish and make use of in fantasy terms. Then, before long, it becomes clear that it's a dumpster fire outside of a few names we can truly bank on. One of those names is Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce proved his worth once again on Sunday.

He scored a season high 38.8 fantasy points against the Oakland Raiders, going off for 12 receptions, 168 yards and 2 touchdowns. Kelce's fantasy points were the second-most by a tight end this season, trailing only the 40.5 scored by Zach Ertz back in Week 10.

Kelce has back-to-back games with 10 or more receptions for 100 or more yards, and he has 1,082 receiving yards in 2018. Kelce joins Greg Olsen as the only tight ends in NFL history to have three consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. He is the only tight end with 800 or more yards in each of his last five seasons.

The Chiefs and Kelce have a tough matchup in Week 14 as they take on the Baltimore Ravens. While the Ravens have allowed the second-fewest passing yards on the season, a healthy 32.2% of these yards have gone to tight ends. They've allowed five tight ends to amass at least 11.2 fantasy points against them this season.
