8 Fantasy Football Sleepers for Week 14

Ian Thomas, TE, Carolina Panthers

If you're looking for a tight end sleeper this week, you're going to have to go deep. It's only fitting in a season punctuated by awful tight end depth, but the fantasy playoffs open up with what might be the worst pool of waiver wire tight ends we've seen all year.

As I mentioned for Curtis Samuel, Greg Olsen is done for the season, and that moves Ian Thomas back into a starting role, where he was from Weeks 2 to 5. His three games in that stretch saw him notch three, five and six targets, and then last week, when Olsen went down, he saw five targets.

His fantasy efficiency has been non-existent, turning 22 targets into 16 receptions, 133 yards and 0 touchdowns this year, but having a good shot at 5 or 6 targets is hard to come by at the tight end position this year.

Touchdowns are variable enough that the goose-egg there isn't too much of a concern, and Thomas should also see an efficiency boost this week against the Browns, who have allowed top-five fantasy numbers to the position this year.
