George Kittle Amassed 210 Yards

Many fans, fantasy owners, and even players will quickly forget the San Francisco 49ers' 2018 campaign. Tight end George Kittle is not one of them, with his Week 14 another highlight in a season full of them.

Kittle finished Sunday's win over the Denver Broncos with 210 receiving yards, the 3rd-most by a tight end in NFL history. Incredibly, all his yards came before halftime, making it appear a formality that he would shatter the record once held by Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe had 214 yards in 2002.

It didn’t happen, however, as Kittle was held without a catch for the final 30 minutes. Still, Kittle became the first 49ers tight end in team history to amass 1,000 yards in a single season.

In a season in which the tight end spot has plummeted to the depths in fantasy circles, Kittle has emerged as one of the league’s best. He trails only Travis Kelce and Zach Ertz in 2018, with 206.3 fantasy points. He faces the Seattle Seahawks this week, a team against whom he dropped 6 receptions for 70 yards in Week 13. His six catches were the most receptions the Seahawks have allowed to tight ends in any game this season, while only the Green Bay Packers tight ends amassed more receiving yards (79).
