Adam Shaheen, TE, Chicago Bears

Price: $4,300

Zach Ertz is projected for both the highest fantasy score and best point-per-dollar value among all tight ends this weekend, per our models, so paying up at tight end deserves some serious consideration.

If you're set on freeing up cap space at tight end, the play is to totally punt the position as the mid-range doesn't have a ton of appeal Sunday.

Adam Shaheen has been essentially useless as a fantasy option so far this season, but since making his injury-delayed debut in Week 11, he's seen a reasonable role in the offense.

He played fewer than 30% of the Bears' snaps in each of his first two games back and only 31% in Week 14, but his snap share jumped to 45% in Week 15, 45% in Week 16 and 57% in Week 17.

He's been targeted only six times, which is obviously a concern, though one of those did come on the goal-line and resulted in a touchdown.

When you're punting tight end, it's generally touchdown-or-bust for value, and being on the field (especially on the goal line) is an important step to finding touchdown opportunity. With their slate-high implied total, the Bears should also have more scoring opportunities than the other teams on the slate.

There's a very real chance of a goose egg if you play Shaheen, but the potential that he finds the end zone leaves him offering some value as a punt play.
