Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos

Held to just four points in standard leagues, Demaryius Thomas was a major disappointment for owners Sunday night. Three concentration drops impacted his performance, as did the Colts game plan to shut him down. The team admittedly sold out to stop the Broncos’ dynamic receiver, leaving tight end Julius Thomas free to grab three touchdowns. Still, posting a 36.36 percent catch rate and a Reception NEP per target of only 0.50 (good for 61st among wide receivers in Week 1) will raise eyebrows and cause some owners to panic.

But there's nothing to see here. Thomas is still a dominant talent catching passes from the most productive quarterback in the NFL. He will continue to be targeted heavily in this offense and will finish the season as one of the top wide receivers in the league.

Recommendation: Keep starting Thomas each week and expect him to deliver. He will. If an owner is foolish enough to jump ship after a slow start, don’t hesitate to pounce. His ceiling might be slightly capped due to the weapons around him, but this is still a player you want to own.
