So Does Julius Thomas

Outside of Calvin Johnson, Julius Thomas was the best pass-catcher in Week 1 according to our Net Expected Points metric. That shouldn’t be a surprise, because Thomas caught three touchdowns.

Guess what? He scored again in Week 2.

Julius didn’t post the same kind of numbers this week compared to last, but his touchdown catch - a short four-yarder from Peyton Manning – brings his season total to four. Our Net Expected Points numbers are pointing towards an obvious regression, but those who spent an early-round fantasy selection on Thomas have to be feeling pretty good about the way Manning and the Broncos are using him in the red zone.
