This isn't the place for us to get into the Ray Rice situation, apart from mentioning it as a direct cause of some severe turbulence in the Ravens backfield. Without Rice, and with Bernard Pierce and Justin Forsett either hurt or ineffective, it's now talented rookie Lorenzo Taliaferro's turn at the wheel.

The Ravens are a bit of a work in progress, and while Taliaferro isn't nearly the slam dunk add that Knile Davis was last week, you can't argue with someone who is the de facto top running back; there just aren't a lot of those available. He went for 18 carries and 91 yards in his first opportunity, and should be in store for more work as we move forward in the season. He's your top waiver priority, and you can drop anyone on Carolina or Oakland for him.
