5 Things I Learned from Week 15 of the NFL Season
Andrew Luck's Been Fortunate
When you speak negatively about Andrew Luck, people don't like it. He's no doubt the future of the NFL, and will have a tremendous career. But in 2014, his performance has been very overrated.
We live in a fantasy football-driven world, and Luck's rushing ability mixed with a high volume of passes make him one of the -- if not the -- best options in fake pigskin. But get this -- entering Week 15, Luck ranked eighth in the NFL in Passing NEP on a per drop back basis. With each drop back, he's been worse than players like Joe Flacco and Ben Roethlisberger through the air.
Why? Turnovers. He's been a turnover machine, and that knocks you in NEP more than it ever would in fantasy football.
Week 15 wasn't kind to Luck, either, as he compiled a Passing NEP score of -10.74 thanks to, once again, turnovers. His NEP ranking will be dropping as a result.
He's certainly one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but he's still not part of that elite group, led by Aaron Rodgers, just yet.
