Justin Forsett, Running Back

Justin Forsett was off-the-charts good this year. Well, not really. He did finish on the charts, but still, nobody could have predicted his efficient season.

Forsett finished second in the NFL among rushers in Rushing NEP (22.67) and ranked fifth in Rushing NEP per carry (0.10) among the qualified running backs. Forsett actually posted a 0.13 Rushing NEP per carry back in 2012, but he did so on only 63 carries. This year, he saw a career-high 234 totes.

His NEP ranks from this season, of course, place him at the top of the free agent list, but Forsett is 29 years old already and turns 30 in October, which has been bad news for running backs since 2000.

Combine that with the fact that he has never seen 120 carries in a season before, and it's fair to question how likely he is to repeat his fantastic 2014 campaign in Gary Kubiak's offense. In the right offense, it's clear that Forsett can contribute, but the biggest question now is in which offense he ends up.
